'We beat them in last series, we will beat them in semi-final too'

CRICDOT DESK : Bangladesh U-19 team is determined to beat India and reach the final of Asia Cup. The match will start at 11:30 pm Bangladesh time at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates on Thursday.

On the eve of the semi-final match against India, Bangladesh captain Rakibul Hasan said, “We are hopeful we can beat and do much better if we can give our best.” Because we won the first two matches by a very good margin. I will play in the semi-final tomorrow with this confidence.

The Bangladesh youth team returned home with the series title after defeating two Indian youth teams in a tour of India last November. The confidence to beat and win this series will work in the Asia Cup.

Rakibul said, “We have won the last series with India.” Winning that series will help us mentally, will give us motivation. We will try our best to win against them. We have played the last matches in Sharjah too, this is also an advantage for us. So we think we will be ahead of them in all respects.

In tune with the captain, youth star batsman Ich Mollah said, “We have won two matches in a row in the Asia Cup by a good margin.” Tomorrow’s semi-final match against India. India is a very good team. I also played a series against them. They are well aware of their strengths and weaknesses. That’s how I prepared. Tomorrow we will be able to play according to our plan InshaAllah.

Bangladesh reached the semi-finals of the Youth Asia Cup after defeating Nepal and Kuwait from Group B to become the group champions. On the other hand, India became runner-up in Group A and reached the semis.
