Virat Kohli surpasses Sachin and becomes Highest Run Scorer for India
CRICDOT DESK : Virat Kohli may have resigned as captain of India, but when it comes to making news, he’s still a mile above art and he is doing it with fashion. Kohli is currently India’s top position at Away ODI run scorrer list. When he faced South Africa in Pearl, he needed only nine runs and easily hit the required runs. He defeated Sachin Tendulkar in the running category. Tendallkar recorded 5,065 runs in 147 innings, but Kohli overcame him in just 104 innings, beating 37 in Tendallkar with an average of 58. After that, former Indian captain MS Dhoni (124 innings, 4,520 runs), Rahul Dravid (3,998 runs, 110 ins) and Sourav Ganguly (105 inns, 3468 trips) are on the list.
This statistic does not include runs scored in neutral venues. And it’s not just the bilateral series. Meanwhile, Kohli has 1,287 orchids against South Africa and is currently the eighth highest Psion in ODI. He has 450 in just 27 games, averaging 64.35. If he wins another 27 runs, he will outperform current Team India head coaches Rahul Dravid and BCCI Chairman Gunguly with 1309 and 1313 runs, respectively. Sachin Tendulkar was at the top of the list on the 2001 run, followed by former Australian captain Ricky Ponting on the 1879 run.
Kohli had previously resigned from the position of test captain, but his fans are looking forward to Kohli, a batter who holds many battle records in the ongoing series. Kohli is also ranked third among the most international-century cricket players. It must be mentioned that his last century returned to Bangladesh in 2019.
