Tamim wants BPL22 for Dhaka along with Mashrafe and Mahmudullah
CRICDOT DESK : If all goes well, the seventh edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will start on Thursday. The country’s top three star cricketers Mashrafe bin Mortaza, Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudullah Riyad will play for Dhaka in the upcoming franchise T20 tournament.
National team T20 captain Mahmudullah Riyadh will lead Dhaka in the BPL. Former national team captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza and current national team ODI captain Tamim Iqbal will play under his captaincy.
Before entering the BPL battle, Tamim Iqbal told the media, “I have been together for 14 years, I don’t spend as much time with Mashrafe’s brother as before.” I talk whenever I get a chance. BPL is a challenge for us. Hopefully we will do well with the challenge.
The country’s best opener added that when a franchise forms a team, their goal is to become champions. In the same way we have the same desire. The results are not in our hands, we can follow the process. We have no reason not to, if we play well there will be opportunities. Our job is to perform, the rest depends on fate.
Tamim was sidelined from professional cricket last year due to injury. Returning to the field after recovering from injury, the star cricketer said, “Fortunately, I was able to play two matches before the BPL.” I am in very good condition now. I hope I have a good start in BPL. Optimistic about doing well. I’m trying to do whatever it takes to be good. As far as I’m concerned, I’ll try my best.
