Tamim eyeing win in both ODIs and T20s
CRICDOT DESK : The Bangladesh cricket team is scheduled to leave for South Africa on Friday to take part in a series of three ODIs and two Tests.
Ahead of the tour of South Africa, national team ODI captain Tamim Iqbal said at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur on Wednesday, “I should not say anything other than winning the stage we are at now in ODI cricket.” Of course we will go with the goal of winning. Again, this is true, the work is difficult.
The past equation of the two parties is clear. The two teams have met in the past 21 ODIs. South Africa won 16 of them. And Bangladesh won only 4 matches.
At home, South Africa won 9 matches and Bangladesh won only two matches. In the away match, South Africa won 6 but Bangladesh did not get it. This means that the Tigers have not yet seen victory on the African field.
Not only that, the Bangladesh team has not yet seen the face of victory after playing 6 Tests, 9 ODIs and 4 T20s in the tour of South Africa since 2002.

Tamim Iqbal wants to end the drought of victory in the current tour. The ODI captain of the Bangladesh team said that our record in Africa is not so good. But the record is such that it could change at any moment. A great example of this was the Test victory on the last tour of New Zealand.
“The only goal of the Tigers is to win the upcoming tour of Africa,” said Tamim. But now I must say I want to win. I will do whatever it takes for him. Then the result is very good, otherwise we will work harder.
