Shakib to play at Mirpur after 3 years!

CRICDOT DESK : Bangladesh will take on Pakistan in the second and final Test of the series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur from Saturday. With this Test, the country’s best all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will be seen again for the national team after the last T20 World Cup. He suffered a hamstring injury in this year’s T20 World Cup. That is why he could not play in the three-match T20 series and the first Test against Pakistan at home.

He also led the match. Under his leadership, Bangladesh won that Test innings by 164 runs. Shakib played 80 runs in the first innings. Bangladesh did not have to bat for the second time in the match as West Indies lost by an innings. Shakib took 3 wickets in the first innings and 1 wicket in the second innings.

After that match, Bangladesh played only 3 Tests in Mirpur. Shakib has scored 1313 runs at an average of 45.28 in 18 matches with 1 century and 9 half-centuries. He took 63 wickets with the ball. He has taken five or more wickets five times in an innings and 10 times in a match in this field. Shakib played his last Test for the country in Chittagong in February this year.
