Shakib not to play test series against South Africa!
CRICDOT DESK : Bangladesh team will play home series against Afghanistan immediately after BPL. The cricketers will fly to South Africa at the end of the Afghan series.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced the final schedule of the home series against Bangladesh yesterday. The two-match Test series will be under the auspices of the ICC Test Championship. Three ODIs are also included in the ICC ODI Super League. So the series is important for both teams.
According to the schedule, the first ODI will be held on March 17, the third and last ODI will be held on March 23. Both matches are day and night. The two teams will play the second ODI on March 20 in Wanderers. The first Test of the series will start on March 31 in Durban. The second Test of the series will be played on April 6 in Port Elizabeth.
However, Bangladesh will not get Shakib Al Hasan in the two Tests of the tour. He will not play Tests in South Africa after New Zealand. According to the popular cricket website CricketBuzz, he will play in the three ODIs of the tour even if he does not play Tests. Shakib is going to stay away from Test cricket for the country because of IPL again. IPL will start on March 26. The IPL auction will be held on February 12-13. Shakib is in great form in BPL. He can only hope to get a team in the auction. Mustafiz is also with him in the category of 2 crore rupees in the auction.

Jalal Yunus, chairman of the BCB’s cricket operations department, told CricketBuzz that Shakib would definitely play ODIs in South Africa. However, he did not say anything about playing in the Test series. However, the all-rounder will play two Tests against Sri Lanka at home in May.
