Seven Indian cricketers to feature in DPL
CRICDOT DESK : The Dhaka Premier League (DPL) has started from Tuesday. The teams have been allowed to play foreign cricketers in this year’s tournament. Which was not the case in the previous two sessions. One foreigner can play in each team.
Indian cricketers will be seen in seven of the 11 participating teams. India’s star batsman Hanuma Bihari will play for Abahani Limited this time. He is on leave at the end of the just-concluded Sri Lanka series. Hanumar is scheduled to join the team next week. That is why Abahani has included Afghan all-rounder Najibullah Zadran in the squad for the first three matches. Besides, Abhimanyu Ishwaran will play for Prime Bank. Parvez Rasool will play for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club.

The Rupganj Tigers, who emerged from the second division, have now fielded Indian cricketer Baba Aparajit. Ashok Menaria will play for Khelaghor Krirachakra, Chirag Jani is on the field for Legends of Rupganj on the first day today. Gurinder Singh is playing for Gazi Group Cricketers. Among them Bihari, Ishwaran, Aparajit, Menaria, Rasul have played in Dhaka Premier League before. Before them, Dinesh Karthik, Manoj Tiwary and Yusuf Pathan have also played in DPL.
