CRICDOT DESK : Even though the test ended two days before the scheduled time, the Bangladesh cricket team could not return to the country due to flight complications. They will have to return on January 15. However, team directors Khaled Mahmood Sujan and Mushfiqur Rahim are scheduled to return home on Thursday (January 13).

The Christchurch Test was scheduled to end on January 13 after five days on the field. Accordingly, the BCB had cut the tickets of the cricketers. But with the Tests ending at Hagley Oval in just three days, the Mominul-Litons are now in trouble to return home. With the horrors of the Corona escalating, it is now quite a hassle to get a hothat schedule on international flights. And for such a large fleet of Bangladeshi cricketers and coaching staff that is almost impossible to manage. So for now the cricketers have to stay in Christchurch for two days.

If all goes well, Muminul and co will leave for Dhaka on January 14 and return to the country on January 15. However, Sujan and Mushfiqur are returning to the country before the team.

Meanwhile,  Russell Domingo, the head of the believers, renewed the discussion. His chair is already shaky due to the recent failure of Bangladesh. According to some cricket-related media outlets, rumors of Domingo’s dismissal surfaced in November last year. However, he was asked to continue his duties till the New Zealand series. And so the series is being discussed again after the end.

It is heard that after the upcoming BPL, anything can happen before the series against Afghanistan at home. BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon is out of the country at the moment. He can actually sit in a meeting in this regard in the country.

After the 2019 ODI World Cup, English coach Steve Rhodes was fired and the team was handed over to Domingo by a board headed by Nazmul Hasan Papon. By 2023, there will be two T20 World Cups and one ODI World Cup. The Proteas coach, who took over in August 2019, had a big challenge ahead of him.

Initially the contract was for 2 years. Which begins with extreme frustration. Bangladesh lost the Test to Afghanistan at home. After that they could not do anything in India and Pakistan tour. Sometimes due to coronavirus did not play on the field for a long time. However, the Tigers did not return to good play under Domingo. The home series against the weakened West Indies and the loss of all matches on the New Zealand tour were widely criticized.

After a one-day series win against Sri Lanka at home and a tour of Zimbabwe, some relief came back. Domingo kept flying in the sky after losing to Australia and New Zealand by making as many wickets as they wanted in Mirpur. Mahmudullah went to play T20 World Cup by flying the balloon of confidence with the certificate of African coach. No one knows where that balloon went in the hot sun of Oman and UAE. No one wants to look for it in the sky of memory back to Dhaka.
