Mohemedan keen to have Shakib at least couple of matches!
CRICDOT DESK : The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has given Shakib Al Hasan a leave of absence from all forms of cricket till April 30. Shakib is not taking part in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) at the moment, which has put Mohammedan in trouble.
The traditional team has kept Shakib in the team again. Along with Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyadh, Taskin Ahmed, Mehedi Hasan Miraj, the team is full of stars. When Mushfiqur and Riyadh return to the team after the tour of South Africa, Shakib will not be available due to holidays.
However, Mohammedan wants Shakib to be given a chance to play in some matches, even if it is to get back on the field. AGM Sabbir, senior vice-president of the Mohammedan Cricket Committee, told the media, “We will talk to the board about how we can get Shakib for at least some matches this season. When Shakib returns to cricket, he also needs some matches. We will make that proposal to the board, if the board considers it. ”

When Shakib is not playing in South Africa tour, is there any chance to play in DPL? In response to such a question, Sabbir said, “First the country, then the club. Performing for Bangladesh, he is a superstar in world cricket today. We want to see Shakib representing Bangladesh. Then if there is a chance to play for the club, inshaAllah he will play. ‘
If Shakib also wants to play in DPL, then he should be told to reduce the leave. Sabbir said, “By the time Shakib asked for leave, the South Africa series was over and the league’s Super League matches remained. In that case, if Shakib wants to play for Mohammedan, he has to tell Shakib. We want Shakib to play. But in that case, Shakib will have to play with the green signal from the board. ‘
