CRICDOT DESK : Batting coach Jamie Siddons has been very happy with the cricketers since he came to Bangladesh. He left for Cape Town, South Africa on Saturday morning with the cricketers in the Test team.

During the break, Test captain Mominul Haque, opener Sadman Islam, spinner Taizul Islam and seven other cricketers posted a selfie on their Facebook page. The batsmen did not do well in the series against Afghanistan on home soil.

South Africa is a more difficult condition. Siddons want to see further improvement in batting to tackle this challenge. “The task will be difficult (on the tour of South Africa),” the batting coach said before catching the South African plane tomorrow. But I think we will do better. The boys are in good condition, they have done very well against Afghanistan. We just have to bat a little better. ‘
