Hashim Amla appointed as PSL coach

CRICDOT DESK : Pakistan Super League (PSL) team Peshawar Zalmi has appointed former South African star cricketer Hashim Amla as its batting consultant. Hashim Amla took part in 349 Test, ODI and T20 matches and scored the second highest score of 17,082 for South Africa with 55 centuries.

The Muslim star played cricket for the national team from December 2004 to June 26, 2019. He officially retired from cricket in August 2019.

Hashim Amla is going to start his career as the first coach after retiring from cricket. The Proteas legend will be seen on the coaching panel of Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League starting in Karachi from today.

Former West Indies World Cup-winning captain Darren Sammy was to be the head coach of Peshawar Zalmi. But Sammy is unable to take over as head coach of Peshawar as he is busy playing in the Legends tournament in Oman.

That is why Peshawar Zalmi has appointed former England star cricketer James Foster as the head coach
