Chris Morris retires from all forms of cricket
CRICDOT DESK : South African all-rounder Chris Morris has announced his retirement from all versions of cricket. The 34-year-old all-rounder announced the decision on social media.
Announcing his retirement, Morris wrote on Instagram, “Today I am announcing my retirement from all forms of cricket. Thanks to everyone who stood by my career journey. It was a joyous journey. ”
“I’m delighted to be taking on the responsibility of coaching the Titans,” Morris wrote, referring to the transition from player to coach. Life is just beginning. ‘

Morris has not played for the South African national team since the 2019 ODI World Cup. Morris has played 42 ODIs. He took 48 wickets and scored 47 runs. He has played 234 Twenty20 matches, including 23 in South Africa’s jersey. In all, 290 wickets at an average of 22.21 and an economy rate of 7.8. He finished his career with a strike rate of 150.04.
Morris set a record in the IPL last year. Rajasthan Royals bought him for the highest amount of Rs 16 crore in the auction history of the tournament.
