Babar Azam picks his all time best Pak-India XI
CRICDOT DESK : Pakistan skipper Babar Azam is on the roll as his team beat Bangladesh 1-0 in the first Test after a whitewash in the T20 series. In the meantime, he made the best XI of all time in T20 cricket with the cricketers of India and Pakistan. And although unbelievable, the truth is that Babar has more Indians in his favorite team. 6 Indians and 5 Pakistanis in Babar’s team formed with Pak-India.
In a recent interview with popular commentator Hersha Vogle, Babar Azam picked the best India-Pakistan XI of all time. Babar likes himself as the opener and surprisingly not Rizwan as a partner in the opening. Babar’s choice went to India’s T20 captain Rohit Sharma as the opening partner. Skipper Virat Kohli has been placed in an important position. Kohli will be at number three in Babar’s team.
At number four, the Pakistan captain likes experienced all-rounder Shoaib Malik. There are more surprises. Babar doesn’t like Mohammad Rizwan even as a wicketkeeper. In this position, he prefers former India captain and wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Babur has named Hardik Pandya as the second all-rounder after Shoaib Malik. Babar has two spinners in the XI. Kuldeep Yadav is the left-arm spinner. Indigenous leg-spinner Shadab Khan is the second spinner in the team.
Babar has named Mohammad Amir, a retired left-arm pacer, as the team’s main pacer. Jaspreet Bumra is the second choice and as usual, Shahin Shah Afridi is the best fast bowler in the current Pakistan team.
