Audience to be allowed during BPL despite Omicron concern

CRICDOT DESK : After a break of one year, the eighth edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is going to be screened. The players’ draft of BPL, which will start from January 21, will be held tomorrow. The BCB is giving the spectators a chance to enter the field in this T20 tournament which is full of domestic cricket. BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury Sujon said this while talking to media.

Chief Executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury Sujan said, “We have not made a final decision about the audience. But there must be fifty percent. It may even increase. The BPL Governing Council has not yet made a final decision. With the tournament still two weeks away, a decision will be made considering the overall situation.

Besides, for those who do not go to the field, BPL will also be broadcast live on two TV channels. The BCB chief executive said, “In the meantime, the broadcasting rights of this year’s event have been given. The games of 2022 will be broadcast live on two channels.
