Anrich Nortje ruled out of India series!
CRICDOT DESK : Star pacer Anrich Nortje’s injury was a major blow to the South African team ahead of the Test series against India on home soil. The pacer has been dropped from the three-match Test series. Today, Cricket South Africa announced the absence of Norte. However, no one is being brought in the squad as his replacement.
Norte has not played since the T20 World Cup. He has been suffering from injuries since then. However, efforts were being made to heal him before the series against India. But the last test showed that Norte could not take the trouble to bowl for a long time. Cricket South Africa chief physician said. Shuaib Manjra said Norte is now in rehab. The board is planning to play him in the ODI series against India as it is not possible in the Tests.

The absence of Nortier is undoubtedly a big blow for the team. The pacer was one of the mainstays of the Test team’s bowling this year. So far he has taken 25 wickets at an average of 20.6 in five Tests. No one was taken as an alternative to Norte. As a result, the Proteas will enter the series with seven seamers. However, Dunnai Olivier can get a chance in the XI instead of Norte. South Africa has already started preparations for the Boxing Day Test. The match will be played at the closed stadium in fear of Corona.
