Shakib Al Hasan not to fly for New Zealand series!
CRICDOT DESK : Bangladesh’s biggest advertisement Shakib Al Hasan was not on tour in New Zealand at the beginning of the year in home condition . He was ruled out of the three-match ODI and Twenty20 series in March due to injury and paternity leave together. This time Bangladesh will not get this left-arm all-rounder in the upcoming tour of New Zealand as the stalwart wanted leave from the board. Despite not having family reasons, Shakib Al Hasan will not fly with his teammates on December 9 to play a two-match Test series.
This was revealed by BCB sources on Thursday (December 2). He is on leave from the New Zealand tour. Chief selector Minhazul Abedin Nannu also confirmed that Shakib will not be available for the tour.
The veteran cricketer has missed the last two matches of the T20 World Cup due to a hamstring injury. He could not play the first Test against Pakistan. He returned to the team for the second Test after recovering from injury. However, after this one test, the team management will not get Shakib again.
