They crossed limit of sledging: Mominul Haque

CRICDOT DESK : Bangladesh’s Test captain Mominul Haque has accused the host South African cricketers of abusing them after losing the Durban Test.

Responding to a question at an online press conference on Monday, Mominul said sledging happens all the time on the cricket field. There will be sledging, that’s normal. But when sledging goes to the level of bullying, it’s too bad. I thought, sometimes they were abusive, very bad. Which the umpire didn’t notice that way.

Proteas cricketers have crossed the line of sledging in the Durban Test. That is why at the end of the fourth day of the Test, two ODI umpires Maris Erasmus and Adrian Holdstock also spoke to Bangladesh ODI captain Tamim Iqbal.

Bangladesh team director Khaled Mahmood demanded a neutral umpire due to multiple wrong decisions of umpires in Durban Test.

Muminul said, “I think the ICC should think about it.” Neutral umpiring should be brought back. As it was before Kovid. Not because of Kovid. Now Kovid is in control. Again neutral umpiring should be brought back. Not only in this series, but also in many series such wrong umpiring has taken place.
