Taskin-Shoriful ruled out of second Test
CRICDOT DESK : Bangladesh will take part in the second and final Test of the series against South Africa starting next Friday in Port Elizabeth. The country’s fastest pacer Taskin Ahmed and young pacer Shariful Islam are not playing in the second Test of the series. The matter has been confirmed by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
Taskin suffered right shoulder pain in the Durban Test. That is why his play in the second Test of the series is not possible.
Young pacer Shariful is in the same situation as Taskin. He injured the ligament of his left ankle during practice.
Taskin and Shariful are scheduled to return home on Tuesday to prepare for the national team through the rehabilitation process.

National team physio Bayezidul Islam said about Taskin-Shariful’s injury that Taskin got pain in his right shoulder during the second day of the first Test. That is why it is very difficult for him to move. It may take him three weeks to fully recover.
Regarding Shariful’s injury, the physio said that Shariful felt pain in his left ankle while practicing on March 29. She had an MRI. She has a ligament injury. She has already begun rehabilitation. He will probably start practicing again later this month.
