Tamim requests not to force him to play T20!


CRICDOT DESK : Bangladesh’s hard hitter opener Tamim Iqbal last played an international Twenty20 match in March 2020. He played against Zimbabwe in  Mirpur. After that, this hard hitter did not play 20 overs international match due to various reasons including injury.

On Saturday, BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon said that Tamim did not want to play any more international T20 matches. Pap0n claimed that Tamim had told him not to force him to play in an international Twenty20 match.

Because Tamim has no interest in International Twenty20. He now wants to focus on other formats. The BCB president told reporters in Mirpur on Saturday, “I have spoken to him.” I told him, you come back to T20 again. Why leave it? You are our best opener. Of course you should.
“She told me something. You don’t force me. If you say so, I must come. But I don’t really want to play in this format.

“After saying that, I thought he shouldn’t say anything more,” Papon said. If someone does not want to play, it is not right to force him to play in a format

Meanwhile, Tamim Iqbal is currently playing for Dhaka in the BPL. He has played two matches in this year’s edition and has scored half-centuries in both the matches.
