Tamim-Mushfiq ahead of legendary milestone!
CRICDOT DESK : Bangladesh are set to play the second and final Test in Port Elizabeth, leaving behind a humiliating loss in the first Test of the series in Durban. Before entering this Test, Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim are on the verge of five thousand runs in this format. Tamim needs 212 runs to enter the five thousand club while Mushfiqur needs 120 runs.
Mushfiqur made his Test debut in 2005. Since then, Mushfiqur has scored 480 runs in 147 innings of 69 matches with 6 centuries and 24 half-centuries. He is now the highest run scorer in Tests for the country.

Tamim made his Test debut in 2006. Tiger is the second highest run scorer in Bangladesh after Mushfiqur. Tamim scored 47 runs in 123 innings of 64 matches. Tamim has 9 centuries and 31 half-centuries in his career.
Mushfiqur did not take advantage of the bat in the first Test against South Africa. He scored 6 in the first innings and 0 in the second innings. However, in the second and final Test, the whole team is looking at Mushfiqur’s bat. If he can score 120 runs in two innings, Mushfiqur will be a member of the club of 5000 runs.
