Steve Rhodes to work as team mentor for Comilla Victorians!
CRICDOT DESK : Former national team head coach Steve Rhodes will be seen in a new role this time. Rhodes has arrived in Dhaka after three years to work for the two-time champions of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Comilla Victorians.
After the departure of former national team coach Chandika Hathurusinghe, Steve Rhodes was appointed as the head coach of the national team in 2016. Under him, Bangladesh failed to reach the semi-finals by taking part in the 2019 World Cup. That’s why Rhodes, the English coach, got the job.
The BPL will be played on January 21. Steve Rhodes arrived in Dhaka on Sunday to work for Comilla. However, Mohammad Salauddin will be the head coach of Comilla. However, it is not yet certain in which role Rhodes will work with Comilla.
Many successful cricketers, including former national team captain Mashrafe Bin Murtaza and Shakib Al Hasan, have praised the coaching of Steve Rhodes. So this time in BPL, the 56-year-old coach will have a different look.
