Shakib’s dedication to the team deserves utter appreciation: Mashrafee
CRICDOT DESK : Mashrafe bin Murtaza congratulated Shakib Al Hasan for his dedication to the country. After a lot of drama, after touring South Africa and playing the first two ODIs of the three-match series, Shakib found out that his son, daughter, mother and mother-in-law were hospitalized due to illness. The cricket board also arranged for Shakib to return home to be with his family during the crisis.
But Shakib played his third ODI without returning home from South Africa to contribute to the historic series win. Mashrafe bin Murtaza congratulated Shakib on winning the first match in 20 years in Africa and winning the historic series.
Legends of Rupganj star cricketer Mashrafe said after training at the academy ground of Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday that 4-5 people at Shakib’s house were ill. We must see Shakib’s sacrifice. He could have left if he wanted. He has remained and supported the team. It’s incredible, because not one or two, everyone was sick.

The former national team captain added that the biggest thing was that he wanted to win the series. It would be said to be a bit selfish, from my point of view. Because at the end of the day everyone in his family was sick. At the end of the day it was Shakib’s decision. Shakib has managed to handle two aspects very well – I think it is hats off to Shakib.
Incidentally, Shakib’s mother Shirin Akhter was admitted to Evercare Hospital due to poor heart condition. Only son Aizah Al Hassan and youngest daughter Iram Hassan are suffering from pneumonia. Eldest daughter Alaina Hassan Aubrey is also suffering from cold and fever. Shakib’s mother-in-law is undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
