Saqlain Mostaq

CRICDOT DESK : Legendary spinner Saqlain Mostaq has been the interim head coach of the Pakistan team since the T20 World Cup.

But now he does not want to carry this responsibility of the team. He has already announced his resignation from the post of Pakistan coach.

Saqlain’s touch, however, changed the Pakistan team overnight. Babar Azam’s team performed brilliantly in the T20 World Cup. If they do not reach the final, they will play an undefeated match in Daputa till the semi-final. In particular, Pakistan defeated arch-rivals India by 10 wickets.

Pakistan showed great performance even after visiting Bangladesh at the end of the World Cup. Babar-Rizwan’s team whitewashed the hosts in the three-match T20 and two-match Test series. After that Pakistan also got success in West Indies series at home. Despite all these successes, Saqlain is not staying as a coach.

Because Pakistani cricketers are interested in foreign head coaches.

Confirming the matter, PCB chairman Ramiz Raja said on Saturday, “Babar Ajmara wants to see a foreign coach in the dressing room. I talked to Babur, Rizwan — even later Saqlain about hiring a coach. They are interested in adding foreign coaches to the national team’s dressing room. ‘

Ramiz did not deliberately appoint a coach from the World Cup just to understand how much the team is ready to stand on its own two feet. However, they have admitted that they need a foreign coach in the coming days. Saqlain Mostak’s resignation is a process of appointing a new coach.
