Russell Domingo reaches Dhaka!
CRICDOT DESK : National team South African coach Russell Domingo arrived in Dhaka this afternoon after a holiday. The Tigers have an ODI and T20 series against Afghanistan. Then there is the tour of South Africa. Earlier on Friday, spin bowling coach Rangana Herath arrived in the country. He enjoyed the final match of BPL with the selectors yesterday.
Bangladesh team will go to Chittagong to play ODI series on Sunday. The visiting Afghan team is leaving for the port city a day earlier. After completing the camp in Sylhet, they will come to Dhaka on Saturday and go to Chittagong on another flight. They are scheduled to practice at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in the afternoon. Three Afghan cricketers Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi and Rahmatullah Gurbaj are coming to Bangladesh today to play Pakistan Super League (PSL) match. They will join Chittagong directly.
Batting coach Jamie Siddons, who a few days ago did not test positive, will give a sample today. If negative, go to Chittagong and go to work. Siddons is now Tamim’s coach after batting consultant Ashwell Prince resigned. HP coach Champaka Ramanayake has said that Mostafiz will be in charge of the upcoming series as pace bowling coach Otis Gibson has resigned. Rajin Saleh will join the national team as fielding coach.
The two teams will play three ODIs as part of the ICC ODI Super League. The first ODI will be on February 23. One day break will be the second ODI. The third ODI is on February 28. The matches will start at eleven o’clock in the morning. There will be two T20s in Dhaka on March 3 and 5. The matches will start at 3 pm.
