Protea coaching stuff will give us advantage : Mominul
CRICDOT DESK : The first Test between Bangladesh and South Africa is going to start at Kingsmead in Durban at midnight. Earlier, the Tigers were refreshed after winning the ODI series against the full strength Proteas. The Proteas Test team is not in full force again. So the Tigers have a chance to make history.
Captain Mominul Haque thinks that having more Protea coaches in the coaching staff of Bangladesh team will give more benefits. South Africa’s Russell Domingo has been the head coach since 2019. Proteas legend Alan Donald has been named the new pace bowling coach. Former Proteas all-rounder Albie Morkel is also the power hitting coach. Earlier, Ashwell Prince, Neil Mackenzie, Ryan Cook have worked with the Tigers. So Mominul feels as if another South African team is fighting against South Africa.
In a pre-match press conference on Wednesday, the Bangladesh captain said, “You saw in the ODIs, it seemed like the whole South African team was playing. Four or five South Africans were on the coaching staff. If you have the coaching staff of a country in your team to play against a country, then it will be a bit positive for you. In this condition you can know how to bat, how to bowl. These will provide additional support. ‘
