Prime Doleshwar withdraw participation from DPL


CRICDOT DESK : Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club abruptly withdrew its name just before the start of the Dhaka Premier League (DPL). The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is embarrassed by such an incident in Doleshwar.

BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury Sujan, who took part in the league title sponsorship announcement and trophy unveiling ceremony on Monday, said the cricket board would take disciplinary action against Prime Doleshwar as per the bylaws of the tournament.

“We found out about this a few days before the start of the tournament and were forced to schedule with 11 teams,” said Sujan. We had no other chance. Given to the board for decision, the board will decide. Our technical issues are going on including taking legal action. The board will decide on the punishment. What kind of action can be taken will be considered.

“It is a little embarrassing for us that just a few days before the start of the tournament, we learned that a team was not participating in one of the major leagues in Bangladesh,” he said. The CCDM has already held a meeting and without them we have been forced to schedule. The board will decide after discussion.

Why did Doleshwar withdraw his name from the tournament? In response to such a question, Sujan said, they did not give any specific reason. Inability to take part in the league. According to the league’s bylaws, the decision on Doleshwar will be taken as per the constitution of the board.
