PCB makes 200 crore from Aussie tour, will BCB wake up ?
CRICDOT DESK : The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has earned Rs 200 crore by organizing a full bilateral bilateral series by inviting the Australian cricket team to Pakistan.
After 24 years, the Australian cricket team has taken part in the three-match Test, three-match ODI and the only Twenty20 tour.
Hosts Pakistan, who drew the first two matches of the Test series, lost the last Test and lost the series. Babar Ajmara won the three-match ODI series 2-1. However, Pakistan lost in the only T20.
Despite losing the Test and T20 trophy, Pakistan has made huge financial gains. Pakistan has earned Rs 200 crore by organizing a series at home with Australia.
In a video message released by the board, PCB chairman Ramiz Raja said, “Losing India in the T20 World Cup has proved to be a turning point for us.” It has taken our cricket to another height. Its effect has also been seen in PSL. People now consider this group as their own, which has helped us financially. We have broken all previous records in financial terms. I think I will earn around Rs 200 crore from this tour, which is huge.
“We are on the right track in terms of cricket and finances,” the former Pakistan captain said. But I am far behind in infrastructure. I was waiting for the Australia series to end. After that we will walk the path where we will focus on coaching, practicing and studying the youth.
