The eighth edition of BPL will start from January 21. After a two-year hiatus, the BPL is on the field at a time when corona infections are on the rise across the country. There is no chance of spectator approval in BPL if the 11 instructions given by the government to stop the spread of corona are followed.
The BCB has therefore decided that the BPL will be started without spectators. There is a possibility of spectator approval in the middle of the tournament, which ends on February 16, but in that case spectators will have to take both doses of Corona Ticker.
Ismail Haider Chowdhury Mallick, Member Secretary of the BPL Governing Council and a top official of the BCB, said, “After receiving the government’s restrictions, we have decided not to allow any visitors initially. If the Corona situation improves, we can change the decision later by talking to the government. Then no one can enter the field without two doses of corona vaccine. If the visitor approves, I will approve by looking at the two-dose ticker certificate. ‘
Corona later returned to the field with the Pakistan series. However, in that series, half-capacity spectators were given the opportunity to watch the game. The plan was to increase the number of spectators in BPL. However, the board is forced to walk in the opposite direction.
