Mushfiq becomes first Bangladeshi cricketer to set rare record!
CRICDOT : Former Bangladesh skipper Mushfiqur Rahim is known as the hardest working cricketer in Bangladesh. Most of the iconic records belongs to him for being the hardest working cricketer in Bangladesh. This time Mushfiqur became the first Bangladeshi to record the highest number of balls played in a Test.
Mushfiqur has set several records in the Chittagong Test against Pakistan. Before this match, Mushfiqur played 9,603 balls . He tackled 225 more balls in the 91-run innings at the end of the first innings. Overall, the number of his deliveries stood at 10,026 which Mushfiqur was the first Bangladeshi to do. Apart from Mushfiqur, no Bangladeshi cricketer has been able to reach this peak yet. Tamim Iqbal is in the second place in this list. The opener played 6,290 balls in the national team’s white uniform.
Tiger cricket’s poster boy Shakib Al Hasan is in the third place. From this position he has dealt 6,369 balls. In fourth place is captain Muminul Haque who has played 6,143 balls so far.
