Mohammed Shami wants to be India’s captain
CRICDOT DESK : Mohammed Shami is one of the permanent members of the Indian test team. He grew up under former captain Virat Kohli and is currently one of the top red ball bowlers in the industry. Virat Kohli has abandoned his role as test leader, leaving his position vacant. BCCI is currently looking for suitable candidates to hand over the reins for the next few years. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul are quite advanced in the race, but the board does not rule out choosing a fast bowler for the captain.
While the name of Jasprit Bumrah is touring, Mohammed Shami is interested in taking on the job if the opportunity arises. Bengal’s high-speed bowler told India.com:
“I’m not thinking much about the captain at this point. I’m ready for any responsibility given to me. To be honest, that’s not the only thing I don’t want to be the captain of the Indian team. I Wants to contribute to the team as much as possible. ”
The All India Senior Selection Committee has a strong team of 18 people. The upcoming Paytm ODI- and the T20I series of choice for the West Indies. Elderly pacemakers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami rested from the entire series, and several young people were selected.
