Mohammad Nabi opt out himself from Dutch series!
CRICDOT DESK : Afghanistan‘s star cricketer Mohammad Nabi has withdrawn from the Netherlands series in a bid to give young players a chance. Young pacer Naveen-ul-Haq has also withdrawn from the ODI format.
Navin’s reason, however, is different. He will miss the ODIs in preparation for this year’s Twenty20 World Cup in Australia. Therefore, the Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced a 16-member squad for the three-match ODI series of the World Cup Super League against the Netherlands without Nabi-Naveen.
Four newcomers have been included in the team led by Hashmatullah Shahidi. Besides, Azmatullah Omarzai, who played an ODI in January, has been returned to the team. The ODI series will start on January 21. The next two matches will be on January 23 and 25. The venue of all the matches is Doha.
