Jason Holder tops ICC all-rounder ranking, Shakib at 4
CRICDOT DESK : Shakib Al Hasan is at number four in the newly announced Test rankings of the International Cricket Council. However, West Indies star cricketer Jason Holder topped the list with two wickets over Indian star all-rounder Rabindra Jadeja.
Rabindra Jadeja topped the Test all-rounders ‘rankings in the first Test of the series against Sri Lanka in Mohali, beating West Indies’ Jason Holder by a century and nine wickets. But the Indian all-rounder could not stay on the throne for more than a week.
In the latest ranking published on Wednesday, Holder has risen to the top again by pushing Jadeja twice. He regained the crown of the world’s best Test all-rounder thanks to his superb batting performance in the Antigua Test against England.
On the other hand, India won the second Test of the series in Bangalore in two and a half days, but Jadeja did not have much of a contribution. Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan is still in the top four in the list of Test all-rounders.
Jaspreet Bumra has made a big leap in the ranking of Test bowlers as he took eight wickets in the Bangalore Test. The Indian fast bowler has come up four steps six steps ahead.
Sri Lankan captain Dimuth Karunaratne, who scored a century in the same match, has risen to the third position in the list of batsmen. Pakistan captain Babar Azam has risen to eight. In contrast, India’s Virat Kohli has dropped from five to nine.
