Jahanara Alam writes to BCB!
CRICDOT DESK : The Bangladesh women’s team left the country last Saturday to play in the women’s qualifiers of the ICC Commonwealth Games-2022 in Malaysia. However, Jahanara Alam did not get a place in that team. He has been kept on standby. But before the women’s team reached Malaysia, the angry Jahanara gave a letter to the BCB.
In the letter, the former captain accused the Bangladesh national selector of nepotism and mismanagement. Acknowledging Jahanara’s letter, BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury told Sujan Media, “We have received a letter from Jahanara. Appropriate steps will be taken after investigation. Because when a cricketer the size of Jahanara is complaining, you have to see how much truth there is in him. ‘
In a letter to the BCB after returning from Zimbabwe, Jahanara accused selector Manjurul Islam and coach AKM Mahamudul Emon of bias. At the same time highlighted many incidents in the dressing room.
He said he was dropped from the team not for cricket but for other reasons. He has requested an investigation into the incident.
The women’s team went to Zimbabwe to play in the qualifying round of the 2022 Women’s ODI World Cup. Jahanara’s performance was quite brilliant there. The right-arm pacer has taken 9 wickets in six matches. He took 3 wickets in 2 matches.
