India Under-19 reach final beating Australia
CRICDOT DESK : India reached the final of the Under-19 World Cup by beating Australia by 96 runs with the help of Yash Dhule’s great century and Sheikh Rashid’s 94 runs.
They will play the final against England next Saturday. India batted first and lost five wickets for 290 runs. In reply, Australia was bowled out for 194 runs.
India captain Yash Dhul decided to bat first after winning the toss on Wednesday. But India were in danger at the start due to Australian bowling.
William returned Angkrish Raghuvanshi for 7 runs. India lost the second wicket for 36 runs. This time Harnoor Singh (18) returned. After that, co-captain Sheikh Rashid and captain Yash took the helm.
The duo put on 204 for the third wicket. They continue to rule the Australian bowlers.
However, in the 48th over, Jack Nisbet returned Australia to the match for a while with two consecutive balls.
Yash returned with 110 runs off 110 balls with the help of 10 fours and a six. And Rashid made 94 off 108 balls.
After playing well in the last four overs, Nishantha Sindhu (12 not out off 10 balls) and Dinesh Bana (20 not out off 4 balls) are behind India to increase their runs.
Ravi Kumar gave the first blow to Australia by returning Tig Wiley for three runs.
Campbell Callaway and Corey Miller of Australia were leading the way for the second wicket.
