India get three jolt as New Zealand loose Williamson
CRICDOT DESK : The Mumbai Test was delayed due to rain. In the meanwhile a lot of bad news came for the two teams. Ajinkya Rahane, Ishant Sharma and Rabindra Jadeja were dropped from the Indian team due to injuries. New Zealand has push is a big one. Captain Ken Williamson has been ruled out due to injury. The old elbow injury is the cause of Williamson’s new suffering. Throughout the year this injury has not left him behind. He has been out for several matches due to this injury. He nodded again.
Rahane was India’s captain in the previous Test in the absence of Virat Kohli. He suffered a hamstring strain on the last day of the Test in Kanpur. Although he waited till the last moment before the Mumbai Test, he has not fully recovered yet.
Ishant also got injured on the last day of Kanpur Test. The bone of his left hand has moved. Jadeja also suffered an injury from the previous Test. It was not immediately clear when he was injured. However, the scan showed that his arm was swollen. He has therefore been advised to rest.
Jadeja, the second-best all-rounder in the ICC Test rankings, had batted fifty in the previous Test, taking five wickets in two innings with the ball. Ishant and Rahane did not do very well. Both of them are not having a good time. However, both are rich in experience. India has to take the big test in the important test that determines the series.
