India crushes Sri Lanka and takes a clean sweeped series
CRICDOT DESK : Hosts India have whitewashed Sri Lanka in a two-match Test series. Batting on a mountainous target of 446 runs, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 207 runs. India got a huge victory of 236 runs. Shreyas Iyer was the best in the match with 92 and 6 runs in two innings.
Rishabh Panth, who scored the most 175 runs, won the series best award.
Before the end of the second day’s play on Sunday, Sri Lanka lost the wicket of Lahiru Thirimanne (0). India needed 9 wickets to win on the third day. Jaspreet Bumrah, who took 5 wickets in the first innings, took 3 wickets. Akshar Patel took 2 wickets and Rabindra Jadeja took 1 wicket.
