ICC warns Hasan Ali after using saliva

CRICDOT DESK : The ICC has made the role of bowlers difficult during the pandemic period. The highest governing body of cricket has banned the use of saliva to shine the ball. The fast bowlers of all the teams follow this rule and shine the ball in an alternative way.

Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali broke the rules of pandemic protocol yesterday. Lala used the fourth ball of the 93rd over of Bangladesh‘s innings to shine the ball. Later he rubbed the ball with saliva again.

Match referee Niyamur Rashid observed the incident even though two field umpires Sharfauddola Ibn Shahid Saikat and Mitchell Goff did not notice it. He advised the umpires to keep an eye on the matter.

There is no provision for punishment in case of such incidents. The umpires continued the game by sterilizing the ball.
