ICC anoounces nominees for ICC Men's T20 cricketer of the year

CRICDOT DESK : Mohammad Rizwan has played great cricket this year. The 29-year-old star opener took part in 29 matches in 2021 and scored a record 1,326 runs with 12 fifties and one century. The star Pakistan batsman has been named the ICC Cricketer of the Year this year for his outstanding performance.

In addition to Rizwan, England star wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Butler, Sri Lankan leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga and Australian star batsman Mitchell Marsh have been shortlisted for the award.

Wanindu Hasaranga has done a great job for Sri Lanka. The star leg-spinner has taken 38 wickets in 20 Twenty20 matches this year.

Australian star batsman Michelle Marsh has been named in the ICC T20 Player of the Year list. He took part in 21 matches and scored 628 runs with the help of 6 fifties. He batted brilliantly in the final of Australia’s T20 World Cup win.

The list includes England’s star wicketkeeper-batsman Joss Butler. He took part in 14 matches and scored 569 runs at an average of 65.44 with the help of one century and five fifties. He also got 13 dismissals in keeping.

The ICC official team of the year will be announced on January 16 and 17.
