I didn’t do anything, players did all these hard work: Domingo

Russell Domingo

CRICDOT DESK : After 20 years of trying, the Bangladesh team finally made history by defeating the South African cricket team at home and winning the series.

The first Test of the two-match series will start in Durban on Thursday. Earlier, Russell Domingo, the African coach of the Bangladesh team, spoke to the media on Tuesday.

Will Bangladesh make history in Test series like ODI? “I haven’t made history,” said Domingo, the Tigers’ head coach. Shakib and Taskin have made history. They play very well in their own field. The Test series will be tough, but we have come to compete.

However, the coach reminded us that this is a different version, where we need to improve. We are expecting a tough series against South Africa. The game is being played on their field. Drawing a Test series in New Zealand in January is an inspiration, the boys are playing well. The Test team is also improving. The team is in balance. We hope the series will be tough even if we bring hope here.

In response to a question, Domingo said that their team has a depth of strength. There are some good young players, especially in the pace department. They will be under a little pressure. Will want to secure their place in the team. While this is an added benefit for us, they will represent South Africa. That means they will come on the field with good players.

Regarding what the Tigers need to do to do well in the Test series, the coach said, the basics have to be kept right. Cricket is not something that no one can understand.
