Ebadat Hossain fails to bag ICC Player of the month!


CRICDOT DESK : Kegan Petersen has been named the best player of the International Cricket Council (ICC) after defeating Bangladesh star pacer Ebadat Hossain. Ebadat Hossain was shortlisted by the ICC in January for his performance in the last tour of New Zealand.

But Kigan Pietersen, the youngest South African cricketer to win the ICC Under-19 World Cup in January, lost to Ebadat. Ebadat was the fourth Bangladeshi cricketer to be shortlisted by the ICC’s player of the month. Earlier, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim and Nasum Ahmed were on the list.

Ebadat Hossain has taken 9 wickets in a two-Test series against New Zealand in January. However, in the first Test, he took 6 wickets for 47 runs, which gave Bangladesh a taste of victory in New Zealand for the first time. He also got the award for the best match for his great performance.
