BCB Declares 3 crore prize money for winning Tigers


CRICDOT DESK : Bangladesh cricket team has made a new history in South Africa. The Tigers beat the Proteas by nine wickets in the third and final ODI to win the series for the first time on South African soil. The BCB announced the award for the Tigers after this historic victory.

Jalal Yunus, chairman of the BCB’s cricket operations, said the BCB would give a prize of Tk 3 crore to the Bangladesh team for winning the series in South Africa.

It is to be noted that Bangladesh reached the target of 155 runs given by South Africa in Centurion today with 141 balls and 9 in hand. Bangladesh has a history of winning the series against South Africa before. The Tigers won the ODI series in 2015 by defeating the Proteas on Bangladesh soil. However, this is Bangladesh’s first series win on South African soil.
