BCB approves Afganistan’s request at the end!
CRICDOT DESK : The Afghanistan cricket team was scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh on February 19 to play ODIs and T20s. But Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi are planning to camp in Bangladesh for 4-5 days. They have also given an official letter requesting the BCB for this. The BCBO has made that request.
The Afghanistan cricket team will arrive in Dhaka on February 12 and leave for Sylhet. That will be their camp. A few days ago, Afghanistan won the ODI series 3-0 against the Netherlands. Most of the cricketers in the Afghan team are now playing in the BPL and PSL.
BCB chief executive Nizam Uddin Chowdhury said: “Afghanistan has requested us to set up a conditioning camp. We have also requested them. We have planned to organize this conditioning camp in Sylhet. That is why they will come 4-5 days in advance. At the moment that is scheduled, we expect them to leave on February 12th. ‘
Afghanistan has to bio-bubble following the international standards in Bangladesh. Besides, they have to follow the instructions of Bangladesh government. The BCB initially wanted to host the series in Chittagong and Sylhet. But the match will be organized in Dhaka as they are allowed to camp in Sylhet.
There will be three T20s in Chittagong. Three ODIs in Dhaka. Like BPL, BCB can also organize Afghanistan series without spectators. Regarding DRS, the BCB chief executive said, “There will be DRS in the Afghanistan series. Not only in the Afghanistan series, DRS will be used in the matches of the last part of Dhaka in the BPL. ‘
