Bangladesh to test Afghan series for World cup squad

CRICDOT DESK : The ODI series against Afghanistan did not end with a smile of satisfaction. The last ODI Super League lost 10 points. There are no conditions for T20 World Cup qualifiers. However, the point is worth a lot. With the challenge of getting ready for the T20 World Cup. Mahmudullah will have to take up that challenge with the team on Thursday.

Apart from the World Cup and Pakistan series, Bangladesh has played good cricket in T20 in the last one year. Bangladesh lost to Zimbabwe, Australia and New Zealand. The team had a new face in the Pakistan series in December. This time Munim Shahriar, an opener who has done well in BPL, has joined the team.

Rabbi Yasir and Shahidul Islam are in the team. Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim have been returned. There is a strong pace unit. Home series wickets have also been prepared with the World Cup in mind.

The best wicket that can be taken in Mirpur is seen in the last round of BPL. If there is a sporting wicket, there will be more chances to do well against the Afghans. If Bangladesh wins the series, the rating points will increase by two. Bangladesh will be eighth in the ranking with 233 points.

However, if the series is lost, Bangladesh will go down to ten. The Tigers will have to play with the point in mind. You have to bat mercurially in the power play to score big. Mahmudullah will have to forget the result of the recently concluded ODI series. You have to open your mind and play T20 cheap innings.
