Bangladesh get thrashed by South Africa!



CRICDOT DESK : Bangladesh could play only 13 overs on the last day. Only 42 runs were lost for 6 wickets. In the end, Bangladesh was all out for only 53 runs in the second innings against South Africa.

The Proteas won the first Test between the two sides in Durban by 220 runs. As a result, the hosts went ahead 1-0 in the two-match Test series.

Earlier in the day, two unbeaten South African openers, Dan Elgar and Marui, batted in the fourth day’s play. The start of the day was not good for the hosts. Opener Sarel Marui returned to the dressing room with just 6 runs from 51 balls. Opener and captain Elgar continued to play with Kegan Peterson in the second wicket. Picked up a personal half-century. Taskin made 64 before falling into the lbw trap.

Kegan Petersen also returned to the dressing room shortly after Elgar’s dismissal. He played 75 balls and scored 36 runs before being dismissed. Ebadat dismissed the experienced batsman Temba Babuma for just 4 runs. Kyle Verienne returned with just 7 runs. Mulder was out for 11 and Keshab Maharaj for 5. In addition, Harmer and Oliver were out for 11 runs and zero runs.

Mehedi Hasan Miraj and Ibadat Hossain got maximum three wickets each for Bangladesh. Besides, Taskin Ahmed got two wickets.
