Bangladesh, a name to be afraid for!

CRICDOT DESK : The home team gets more benefits at home. Some teams even try to take full advantage. Bangladesh has beaten Australia, New Zealand and South Africa at home. However, South Africa has a very rich record of dominance at home.

It is not a matter of going to the Proteas’ camp and winning the series. Be it Australia-England or India-Pakistan. They have taken tough tests of all the teams. Australia, who are touring South Africa for the first time, could not win the ODI series. The score was 4-4.

England lost to South Africa 6-1 in a seven-match series for the first time in 1995. Australia have a record of three consecutive ODI series wins on South African soil. Ajira won the Proteas in 2001, 2005 and 2011.

Apart from this, England and New Zealand have won the three-match ODI series 2-1 once in the 2009-10 and 2012-13 seasons respectively. Pakistan have won the series twice in South Africa, the highest among Asian teams. Pakistan got a taste of winning the ODI series 2-1 for the first time in 2013-14 and for the second time last year.

India went to South Africa in the 2016-17 season and defeated them. Burning by Virat Kohli’s aggression, the Proteas won the six-match ODI series 5-1. South Africa made that revenge in the latest series. India lost 3-0. If Bangladesh wins the series this time, South Africa will make a name for itself in Qatar.
