Australia announce T20 and ODI squad against Pakistan!


CRICDOT DESK : The Australian cricket team is coming to Pakistan to play after 24 years. Cricket Australia (CA) has announced a 16-member squad for the ODI and T20 series of that tour. David Warner and Pat Cummins are not in the white ball squad. Also missing are pacer Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and spinner Nathan Lyon.

T20 World Cup ahead. So Cricket Australia wants to test young cricketers by putting star cricketers at rest. That’s why they have arranged a squad with youngsters, leaving out a number of stars. All-rounder Glenn Maxwell will not be in the series. The reason is marriage.

Steve Smith, who suffered a head injury in the just-concluded T20 series against Sri Lanka, has been included in the Pakistan series. Alex Cario, who has not played in a limited-overs match since last August, has been named in the squad. The series will start with the first ODI on the 29th of next month in Rawalpindi. Pakistan and Australia will play three Tests before the start of the ODI series.
