Ajaz Patel shakes cricket world by destroying India!

CRICDOT DESK :New Zealand spinner Ajaz Patel shook the history of cricket by taking all the wickets in an innings. Ejaz is the third bowler after Jim Laker and Anil Kumble to take ten wickets in an innings in Test cricket. In the Mumbai Test, Ejaz bowled 48.5 overs and took 119 runs for the loss of 10 wickets. He is the only bowler on foreign soil to have achieved this feat.

Anil Kumble took ten wickets for 74 runs in 26.3 overs in the fourth innings at Feroze Shah Kotla in Delhi against Pakistan in 1999. Ajaz achieved this feat after 22 years of Kumble. He started Mumbai Test by dismissing Gill, and today Ejaz took his tenth wicket in the innings by returning Mohammad Siraj.

Before Ajaz, Nathan Lyon, Lance Klusner, Sikander Bakht and Jason Krazer have taken eight wickets on Indian soil. Pakistan’s Sikandar Bakht was the first foreign bowler to achieve this feat in India. In the first innings of the 1989 Delhi Test, the Indian fast bowler took six wickets for 69 runs. The match was drawn afterwards.

After that Klusner then achieved this feat. He is also from South Africa. In India’s second innings in Kolkata in 1996, he took 6 wickets for 64 runs. He finished India alone. Azhar, Sachin and Sourav lost the Test by 329 runs. Besides this he then took 6 wickets in Australia’s Craze in Nagpur in 2006 and Australia’s Lion innings in Bangalore in 2016.
