Afghanistan tour to proceed as per schedule: BCB
CRICDOT DESK : The cricket calendar schedule looks tight for almost every team, but Bangladesh is confident of hosting Afghanistan with a limited streak. Afghanistan may be a busy schedule, but it will start in January with a three-game ODI series at home with the Netherlands.
The tour to Zimbabwe continues. It consists of 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is. Therefore, considering the workload management of the players, the tour to Bangladesh has become a serious problem. A tour of Bangladesh means that Afghanistan must play continuously without major interruptions.
However, Cricbuzz reports that BCB boss Nizamuddin Chowdhury isn’t too worried and believes the series will go as planned. He went on to say that Afghanistan would meet them in February, and that wouldn’t change.
So far, I haven’t heard anything negative from Afghanistan. BCB boss
“We are planning to accept Afghanistan in February, leaving the series as it is. So far, we have not heard any negative opinions from Afghanistan. We hope that the series will proceed according to the original schedule.” Nizamudin Choudhry said.
However, regardless of the upcoming series, Where Bangla National Cricket Stadium may not host the games of the upcoming series starting February 23rd. In most cases, all games in the series are played in Chattogram and Sylhet. This is mainly because the venue in Mirpur is spin-friendly.
Given that the opposing team has world-class weirdos such as Russie Hahn, Musib ul Rahman, and Mohammad Nabi, it can be dangerous for the host to play games there. Nonetheless, the three ODIs that happen to be part of the ODI Super League will take place on February 23, 25 and 27 at The Her Ahmad Choudhry Stadium in Chittagong. The team then moves to Silet for the T20I game. The shortest format game will be held on March 2nd and 4th.
