Afganistan prevent whitewash from overconfident Tigers!


CRICDOT DESK : Bangladesh lost the third match of the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.

The Tigers were bowled out for 192 in 48.5 balls after batting first in the match. In reply, Afghanistan lost three wickets and reached the victory port in 40.1 overs. That means they won with about ten overs left.

Meanwhile, as the Afghans won the last match, Bangladesh now won the series 2-1.

Opener Rahmanullah Gurbaj was instrumental in bringing such an easy victory to Afghanistan. He played 110 balls and played an unbeaten innings of 108 runs. Rahmat Shah scored the second highest run for the team. He played 6 balls and scored 47 runs. Besides, their other opener Riaz Hasan played 29 balls and scored 35 runs.

Riaz and Gurbaj scored 79 runs in the opening over. As a result, they picked up a very easy victory later.

Meanwhile, the beginning of Bangladesh is good. Bangladesh’s first two wickets fell for 108 runs. But then they collapsed in batting.
